StreamInterpreter

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 October 2026

These terms govern your use of StreamInterpreter. By creating an account or booking an event, you agree to what follows. They are written to be understood; if anything is unclear, write to us before you book.

1. Who we are

StreamInterpreter is a service of Telecomunicaciones, Computación e Ingeniería Dinexim Ltda., Chilean tax ID (RUT) 77.353.700-3, Santiago, Chile. Contact: support@streaminterpreter.com.

2. What the service is, and what it is not

StreamInterpreter transcribes, translates and voices the audio of a live event in real time, and delivers it to listeners in their own language through a link or a QR code. The whole process is automatic and performed by an artificial intelligence system.

This is not certified human interpretation

Translation is machine-generated and may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies, particularly with highly specialised terminology, several simultaneous speakers, or poor audio. Do not rely on it as an official record, or in legal, medical, financial or notarial settings where an error could have consequences, unless a human professional reviews the output. You decide whether the service is appropriate for your event.

3. Your account

4. One event per account

Each account holds one event at a time. While you have an event running or scheduled you cannot create another one: if you need a second event on a different date, sign up with a different email address. If you want to extend the event you already have, use + Upgrade in your panel.

5. Prices, taxes and currency

6. Payment and activation

Your event is activated when the payment gateway confirms the payment. At that moment you receive by email the room code, the listener link and the QR code. What you booked — hours, languages and listener capacity — is what appears in your order summary.

Booked hours are a continuous window starting at the date and time you set. Unused hours within that window do not roll over to another event.

7. Changing the date and time

As long as the event has not started, you can move it to another date and time — earlier or later — as many times as you want, at no cost, from your panel. Hours, languages and listener capacity stay the same. Once the event starts it can no longer be rescheduled.

8. Refunds

8.1 If the failure is ours, we refund what you paid

If the service is not delivered because of a StreamInterpreter failure, we refund the full amount paid for that event, taxes included. For example: the platform does not let you start the broadcast, listeners receive no audio or subtitles, the service goes down during the event, or the room code or listener link is never delivered.

If the failure affects only part of the event, we refund the portion proportional to the time affected. If the interruption left the event unusable, we refund it in full.

8.2 If the cause is on your side, there is no refund

No refund is due when the event does not take place, or is affected, for reasons outside the platform. For example:

8.3 About translation quality

The quality of machine translation depends on the source audio, the subject matter, the speaker's pace and the language pair. Output you are not satisfied with does not by itself amount to a service failure. Delivering no translation at all, or output made unusable by causes attributable to the platform, does.

8.4 If you cancel

If you decide not to run the event, the payment is not refunded, but you can reschedule at no cost as many times as you need while it has not started (section 7). We would rather move your date than have you lose your purchase.

8.5 Events beyond either party's control

If the event cannot take place because of something outside both parties' control — a general power or internet outage, an emergency, a large-scale provider failure — we reschedule your event at no cost. No cash refund applies unless rescheduling is impossible.

8.6 How to request one

Write to support@streaminterpreter.com within 7 calendar days of the end of the event, stating the room code, the date and what happened. We reply within 5 business days. Where a refund is due, we issue it to the same payment method within 10 business days of approval, in the currency originally charged. Posting times depend on your bank or the payment gateway.

9. What we need from you

For the service to work, it is your responsibility to:

10. Acceptable use

You may not use StreamInterpreter to transmit unlawful content, content you do not hold the rights or permissions for, or to intercept or retransmit conversations without the consent of those taking part. Nor may you attempt to breach, overload or gain unauthorised access to the platform. You are responsible for holding whatever permissions your event requires.

11. Availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may carry out maintenance; where it is scheduled and could affect you, we will give advance notice. The platform depends on third-party providers (section 14) and on your own connection.

12. Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to an event is limited to the amount you paid for that event. We are not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit, including commercial or reputational loss arising from translation errors or service interruptions. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular liability arising from wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

13. Content and intellectual property

The audio of your event and its content are yours. We do not use them for any purpose other than providing the service, and we do not train models on them. The StreamInterpreter software, brand and design are ours; booking the service transfers no rights over them to you.

14. Personal data

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. It also explains what happens to your event's audio.

15. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, in particular section 10. Where the suspension is not attributable to you, we refund what you paid for the affected event. You may close your account at any time by writing to us; completed events and tax documents are retained for the period the law requires.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update them. Where a change is material, we will give notice by email or on the platform at least 15 days in advance. Events already booked are governed by the terms in force at the time of purchase.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by Chilean law. Any dispute will be submitted to the ordinary courts of Santiago, Chile.
